Skoda Fabia CTHE 1.4TSI

I know that there are many threads on these 1.4TSI engines and Gearboxes giving up the ghost. 

 

But I wanted to know if there is any information on what the life expectancy is on this units? I'm currently at 103,000 2013 plate CTHE. 

 

Water Pump has been changed 70K

Timing chain has been changed 100K

A few other items, sensors etc. 

 

Apart from that its all good. 

 

Apologies if this has been covered before.

Sounds good to go for a good few years.

5w 40 FS that is not Castrol / Quantum LL.  but VW502.   

99 ron preferably not Shell V-Power Nitro+ with those special detergents.

Fresh plugs & filters and 200,000 miles hopefully.

 

& do not let Skoda Main Dealers near it unless there is an extended warranty and it is paying for work.

The only worry is that the current extended skoda warranty is ending in Sept 2017. After that they will not insure anymore due to the mileage.

At current Mileage 42K and only 5/6K a year  i would be another 3 / 4 years for the Water pump.  Thats on a 2010 CAVE. Really surprised got this far to be honest.
