64 plate VW Passat - windscreen washers not working

Guys,

Strange one - a colleague's car has developed a weird fault. It's a 64 plate B7 Passat 177 CR TDI with 77,000 miles.

The windscreen washers have given up, but the headlight washers work (it has xenons), and when the windscreen wash is activated, the rear wiper activates! The rear washer does not work, however.

I'm no tech or auto electrician, but here's what we've checked so far:

All fuses in end of dashboard

Relay

Replaced stalk with brand new one - no change

Replaced pump with new one - no change

A scan by a local garage with VCDS showed this:
