Hi, can anyone tell me if a 2017 1.2 tsi dsg should have insulation under the bonnet?

        the reason i am asking is my 2016 1.2 tsi dsg has it, the 2017 does not.

       is this a cost saving exercise

I`m not sure, we have 3 Fabias at my house, a 2015 1.2 TSI Monte Carlo hatchback, a 2015 1.2 TSI Style Combi and a 2016 1.2 TSI Style Combi. And the weird thing is only the 2016 model hasnt got the insulation under the bonnet, both 2015 ones have it. We also asked our dealer if they maybe forgot to insall it in the factory, but even they didn`t know the answer.

But wait there is even more, only the Monte Carlo has plastic underbody protection, the other two Combi`s haven´t got it.

It doesn't come with a sound absorber under the bonnet any more 

Think the diesels do but not petrol 

They aren't expensive I fitted one doesn't make a massive difference but it does help a ittle

My 2018 110 TSI SE L does have insulation under the bonnet which did surprise me as my previous Octavia 1.4 TSI did not, strange.

I ordered one at the local Skoda dealership. Cost me around 20 pound. 1.2 tsi 2016 model.
