Memory seats

Featured Replies

Hi i have a 2018 estate. I'm 6 2 so i want the seat right back but every time i get in the car it seems to have moved forward an inch or 2.

Have tried setting the memory using set button then button 1 and get a beep but next time i drive its the same.

Also if i press the memory button again and again it keeps moving the seat further and further in.

Is there some link with the key?

I think you need to follow the Personalization to assigne the key to your settings.image.thumb.png.047e1762e2b7743c12be01832e5d2f4c.png

Helpful, thanks - will give it a go

I am pretty sure the manual mentions something about not being able to save the seat at the extreme back setting so thins may explain a slight creep forward or the ability to still go back a small amount after pressing the selection button. However, that distance is only a few mm and certainly not inches.

Same as the SII it moves that inch or so. Well it does in mine.

The seats on my old Superb Mk2 SE were manually operated and the seats seemed to go back further than the electric seats on the Superb Mk1 & 3 and had the benefit of staying where they were put :D

Mine is the backrest that creeps back, not the base...not enough to really make a difference, but pressing the memory 1 button pops it back into the right position...niggling!  The S3 should be here soon :)

I had this problem, also.  I'm also 6' 2" by the way!

I saved my seat settings, but every time I unlocked the car, the seat moved forwards and upwards.

I was informed by the local Skoda dealer that I had gone beyond the parameters of the seat - go figure!

The only way I could find to stop this from happening was to switch off 'personalisation' in the settings menu. Not impressed.

I’m 6’6” and never had any issues with the seats moving by themselves.

I think I've got a similar issue: I moved the seat to the very "bottom" and when I unlock the car it goes up a bit. Moreover, it looks like it doesn't get saved in the memory at all - each time I save the position and press the button afterwards - it moves up in the same way when I unlock the car!

Is it a known issue or should I talk to the dealer?...

Thanks

I have exactly this same fault - it won't stay in the lowest position. I took mine to the dealer who said they had seen this before and the car needed a software update. They did this and it is exactly the same. When I showed them the problem, we then tried to 2 other cars in the showroom and they did the same also so they said they would refer it back to Skoda. That was 2 months ago and I haven't heard back yet. I am pretty sure mine only started doing this after a service about 9 months ago when they told me they also did a software update on the car as part of a recall which was something to do with a battery drain issue (which I didn't have).

Same thing here. My car comes without personalization. The seat does not stay at lowest position. Always moves bit up after I unlock the car.

Mine does it with the personalisation both on and off.

We had a thread on here before complaining about this. It seems it just doesn't save the lowest position.
