Interior trim

Featured Replies

Hello all, first what I'd call a propper dissapointment.

The shiny/glossy black panel surrounding my gear leaver gaiter is already noticeably scratched up  only surface marks I know but still the car is like 2 months old,I think some strategic gloss black vinyl is called for.

It should receive an award for 'most scratchable surface'...

When I picked up mine a year ago, there were already some distinct marks across both the central console (again, gear lever gaiter area) and also around the radio unit. Managed to knock a few quid off the price. Have tried doing some minor work in improving it, but doesn't make a whole load of difference.

Then again, I came from a Ford where everything was pre-scratched from factory, so... baby steps ;)

Don’t know if it helps but I used some finishing polish on low speed with a DA and spot pad on my carbon trim on the AMG to polish marks on that out, am planning on doing the same on the vRS. Might be worth a go for the Gloss Black??

Excellent idea Sasha but

Way too much work on a brand new car !!!!!!!!!

Wrap sounds easier though especially as my DA is rubber ducked. This new car lark is looking more and more like it's not for me ..........lol

Got a few scratched on my gear surround as well, I now only use an microfiber cloth to dust inside now

The gear surround on the '17 SEL I drove Saturday looked like BA Baracus as the as the previous owner.
