6 weeks - No ETA on 'in stock' Fabia. Normal?

Featured Replies

We bought a new Fabia 6 weeks ago that was in Emden. It was delivered to the UK 3 weeks ago and yet we still cannot get a delivery date on the car from either the dealer or customer services.

Our elderly second car is on it's last legs and needs work, but we're loathed to spend more money on it now as we will scrap it as soon as the Fabia arrives.

Is this normal? It's really frustrating that our car has been a couple of hundred miles up the road since the beginning of the month and yet no-one will commit to an ETA.

Doesn't sound normal to me, my Fabia arrived at the docks in the UK on the 10th and I picked it up on Tuesday

I am 1 week into picking up my new Fabia,  I was very frustrated as it took less than 2 weeks to get from the Skoda factory to Grimsby Docks.  It the took 3+ weeks to get delivered from Grimsby to my garage.

Explain to your garage the problem with your old car perhaps they would let you have a loan car to help out (if you don't ask).

Make sure it has not been damaged during transport and been repaired

Contact your dealer, they should be able to locate where the Fabia is, but explain as mentioned your old car is on its last legs and see if you can get a loan car.

Mine was in Germany when I ordered mine and was in the UK within 6 days and I had it within a few days after that.

Dealer has come good with a loan Citigo. I've had two Octavias from them in the past and they know I'm currently looking at a Karoq.

Skoda UK will come back to us on Monday about the Fabia.
