Rear view camera?

Featured Replies

HI all, can someone with the L&K trim please confirm if the if the standard included option of Park assist also includes the rear view camera or whether it is needed on top of the park assist?

thanks in advance.

EDIT: The configurator allows the RWC as an option, the dealer says it is included in this trim with park assist, I want RWC so don't want to miss it when speccing

Hi Tony. My MY17 L&K doesn't have the rear-view camera as standard.  Don't know about the MY18 sorry.

That didn't include the RVC as standard either.

Ah Cheers guys. So How does the parking work without the cameras. Sorry don’t understand it.

There's additional parking sensors at the front and rear sides.

The camera is brilliant. Had mine a month and love it.

It's the standard park pilot. You get a top-down  image of the car plus audible proximity  alerts.  I find it entirely acceptable.  The caravan owners seem to like the camera as it gives more detailed information about positioning.

I have the reverse camera but not park assist.

i love the camera it makes things easier with such a big car

Does it park itself? If yes, I guess it turns the wheels but you need to apply the throttle and breaks, right?

Two different things Tony. Park pilot shows an image of the car, where it will go based on the gear you are in and where the wheels are pointing,  and gives visual and audible alerts when you get close to something. Park assist is the auto-park function.  They are two separate buttons next to each other on the left of the gear stick (in the UK). It turns the wheels but yes you have to accelerate and brake manually.

Right, so does the L and K trim have the Park Assist as standard? I assume so as it cant be picked as an option

Yes it does. I've used mine precisely once and I wouldn't pay extra for it personally.
