Aftermarket seats and subframes

Featured Replies

I contacted a seat supplier this week to ask about subframes/seats. they didn't have a listing for the Mk1 Fabia but the guy found that the recaro subframe (ref REC68.75.29B) was listed and was the same as a Seat one he was able to get. I think it was OMP but was left a little uncertain on it all.

I wanted to have a further search myself. Can anyone confirm the models of Seat (and Polo?) I could put in for a seat subframe search (safe in the knowledge they will work in my 2006 Fabia tdi)?

As per my old Mpi, I feel the seats are giving me upper back pain. I feel they tilt my upper spine forward a little. I'm 6'1" tall, maybe just a little bit tall to be ideal for the seat so am seriously considering whacking in a different drivers seat. Function is more important than fashion and I;m wondering if I got the correct subframes I could find a used seat, either that or or lower cost aftermarket recliner.

Any help on this appreciated. It's either this or changing the car tbh.
