I have just updated the firmware on my 2011 superb, however when I try to update the maps it spits the disc back out and I get a message CD/DVD error check disc. I have tried 3 different discs from 3 suppliers and all the same. its annoying as I now have no points of interest etc., the Columbus play CDs fine, help please 

to remove dvd  burning issues it might be best to borrow a disc that has been proved to work.

Ask if anyone local to you has one.

Try with a lens cleaning CD first, to eliminate reading errors ... you mention only the CD playing, will it play DVD movies properly?

Ditto vborovic's suggestion. I had the same problem, and cleaning the laser lense fixed it. You can get them online or (I guess) shops selling CDs, DVDs. Let us know how you get on.
