Octavia MkIII Window Blinds, Boot Liner & Full Sized Spare Wheel - ALL SOLD

Featured Replies

Hi all,

My 2016 Octavia Scout estate is due to finish it's lease in a month from now, as a result I'm looking to sell the items I fitted after delivery.

Please note, the window blinds are available now, the boot liner and spare wheel will be available when the new car arrives and this car can go back.

1) Window Blinds - available now...

Bought from Superskoda for €99.99...

http://www.superskoda.com/Skoda/OCTAVIA-III/Octavia-III-Combi-5pcs-set-of-sun-privacy-bug-shades

5-piece set. Two for the rear door windows, two for the boot side windows and one for the boot window.

The rear door blinds are held in place using the metal clips pictured below, all the other blinds are fixed using plastic clips backed with 3M tape. I'd imagine you'll want to renew the tape to ensure a good fix to the glass so please bear this in mind.

All clips present and reusable. They're great quality and allow the rear windows to be wound down with the blinds still in place.

Unfortunately when refitting the boot roller cover I caught the passenger side rear boot side window blind (literally minutes after fitting them!) and put a small hole in the blind, please see pictures.

3) Genuine Skoda Full Sized Steel Spare Wheel - available soon.

Very similar to the kit available on Superskoda...

http://www.superskoda.com/Skoda/OCTAVIA-III/Octavia-III-original-Skoda-kit-for-spare-wheel-change

Includes:

- Polystyrene holder

- Threaded stem and securing nut

- Scissor jack

- Wheel wrench

- Wheel bolt protective cap plastic tweezers

- Alloy wheel centre cap / plastic wheel trim removal tool

- Securing strap

- 16" steel wheel

- 205/55 R16 91V Bridgestone Turanza tyre

Please note: the towing eye and locking wheel nut key are not included, these will need to stay with the car (sorry, should have taken them out of the pictures).

The wheel and tyre were supplied brand new on my 2008 MkII Octavia Scout. I removed them from the MkII car before I sold it with the intention of fitting it to the current MkIII. The new car I've ordered has a spare wheel supplied so this one is now surplus.

Before fitting it to the MkIII I had to source the threaded stem which required modifying, I had to shorten it so please note that the top surface is slightly rough where I've cut it to length. The cap threads on to it just fine as you can see in the pictures.

The tyre has been stored in the boot all its life and looks as new. It's never been used and there are no cracks or any signs of deterioration. I appreciate peoples opinions on a tyres best before date varies, so it is important to note this tyre is 10 years old...

Any questions please let me know.

Boot Mat - SOLD

Window Blinds - Available

Spare Wheel - Available

Can I ask ? Are the windows on the  scout the same shape as the VRS estate windows ? As we do have slightly tinted rear glass, but I could do with some shades for our little granddaughter who gets blinded on the occasional outing of that big yellow ball in the sky.  If the windows are the same shape, I will have them off you. It's a pity the boot liner has sold, as I would have had that as well. Best wishes, Dave w

Hi Dave,

Yes, these blinds will fit all models of the MkIII Octavia estate including your vRS.

Our Scout also has the factory tints (sunset privacy glass), so the appearance in my pictures should mirror the look you'd get.

I too got them for the extra protection they offer the kids in the back. The main benefit for us was being able to lower the windows for fresh air with the blinds in situ still providing shade.

Cheers,

Roy.
