Columbus hardware & software versions? - confused

Featured Replies

Does anyone know of an up to date, definitive list of hardware and software versions for the Columbus (RNS 510) as fitted in a Skoda Superb?

Mine was replaced under warranty a while back and the replacement now has started to reboot so I've bought one of these 'S' models, claimed to be 2018 and new

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NEW-2018-Skoda-Columbus-LED-S-HW32-SW5274-navigation-Octavia-Superb-Fabia-RNS510-/272872902037

However my old Columbus has HW version H71 but the seller claims the latest version is H32

My software is  4120 (the unit replaced under warranty had 5274). The seller says the latest version is 5274 but I've also seen 6276 being claimed to be the latest.

I've had this explanation

"HW 71 is old around 2012 year or something like that. H32 is like H132 in this perspective.
Hardware is turning around after reached new level of software.

First it was H02 H03 H04, then H11 then H41 H42 H50 H60 H61 H70 H71 H72 and then started from newer P version H07 H08 H09 H10 H12 H14 H21 H23 H27 H30 H32 H40 H42.

But different versions of HDD or SSD have their own HW version, latest HDD version is H32 and latest SSD version is H42."

And I've seen this page

 and this one

but am none the wiser!

Anyone able to shed some light on this confusing issue or point me to an authoritative page from the manufacturer rather than someone's opinion.
