ODB2 Data plug with new car?

Featured Replies

My colleagues as work just pointed out that VW gave away Data plugs last year and they seem to come now with new VW's.

Do Skoda do that same or is it just built in to Skoda connect etc?

About to pick up my new Superb next week so just wondering if I should be asking about one?

e.g. Volkswagen Data Plug.

If your car has WLAN, Bluetooth or USB socket you can use Skoda OneApp using either method to read that sort of data instead of plugging a dongle into the OBD2 port.

There’s a lot more data accessible through the OBD port than will eve be shared via OneApp, though.

I’m not sure whether an OBD dongle might be obtainable for free from Skoda, but many web shops offer them for less than 10£.
