Blinking glow plug light

Featured Replies

Hi guys

Past few days I’ve been experiencing a few issues with my car, I’ve got a 2016 Octavia se business model, and the issue I’m having is the glow plug light is blinking when I turn the ignition on after the car hasn’t ran for a few hours and when I turn it on it shudders and shakes (assuming this is limp mode) I then turn the car off start it again and I’m left with a start/stop error then when I turn it off once more and turn it on everything is fine and runs without any issues!

1st time turning on the car - limp mode and glow plug blinking

2nd time turning on the car - start/stop error

3rd time turning on the car - all fine

Book it into your supplying dealer. Cars in warranty. 1.6 or 2.0 TDi? I’ve got a 1.6 of same age.

Booked this car in now and, during the time in between booking and it being sent in today i smelt diesel and i drove to Scotland and back from the midlands and i had lost 30L little more than half the tank, upon it being in he garage today they took it in on the fault that the injectors were leaking diesel and didn't let me take it away due to health and safety reasons but thankfully enough its under warranty and will get a good clean and good job done also thankfully got a courtesy car sorted for me
any one else had issues with injectors on their octavia mk 3

Its not something I've heard about on the forum before.

Have you had it serviced recently?
