batter was completly dead wouldnt start swapped over batter then got it running but whilst no keys in egnition mobbaliser light and power steering lights on only dull though and draining battery

This sounds like water in the wiring loom, it might clear up if it dries out properly, leave the battery disconnected when you're not using it, it should be warm and dry for the next few days at least.
