Good morning. I have just completed the paperwork for my first Skoda. I have been a Ford guy in the past but the quality, reputation and value for money has won me over. I’m coming out of Fiesta ST-3 MP215 into a Superb sportline tdi 190 DSG.

Your community looks like a good place to learn about the brand and the car and I’m sure I’ll be pestering you all with questions soon enough.

Thanks for the welcome. Yep, it’s a change for sure. I honestly don’t think there is a better handling front wheel drive car but you are right, it is pretty hard and my better half finds it noisy and uncomfortable. It’s been referred to as my chavmobile once or twice.

I’m looking forward to collecting it on Wednesday. Most of Thursday will be spent cleaning it then I’m sure the SFQ’s will start in abundance.

I know that i have posted in 3-4 other topics the photos of my modified console (in various stages) but i think it's proper to have them all in one topic plus informations for the step by step procedure. Maybe another member will read it and try to modify his or someone can find via Google Search the photos and have an inspiration. Does anyone have any recommendations for reasonably priced insurance companies outside of the comparison sites. Everyone said policies had gone up last year but mine was still ok, but it's gone up higher than I'd like this year. I'm in my 40's, driving for 27 years, full no claims. Maybe its the same for everyone but it feel like robbery when it's a 2010 car, Skoda superb elegance, TDI, DSG. When I bought it it was about £400, got it down to £185 and its back to £300

I recently bought a used 2024 (built 2023) diesel Octavia Vrs. Although my phone - Motorola G9play - shows on the Skoda website as compatible with the infotainment system, I have been unable to link the phone after multiple attempts. Has anyone had this as an issue and found a solution?

Hi All. Just got a 2019 Karoq 2019 SE L........i've noted other people have had an uncomvortable seat experience but its not many. The seats are nurdering my mid/upper back and I cannot find a position that works. I drive several cars each year and have been driving for over 20 years....never had anything like this happen. Hi. I've posted recently ( thanks everyone) about a worrying occasional rattle that disappears on depressing the clutch. Thanks to advice here the belt (40K 5 years) should be ok..I then thought the rattle might be the dual mass flywheel,as I had experienced this on my old T4 .However Skoda say the flywheel is solid. Trying to get more advice before splashing out on belt/clutch. Does anybody have an independent guy in the Lincoln/south Lincolnshire area please. Thanks Mick
