Engine lights on then off for a few days??

Featured Replies

hey guys,

ive got a fabia comfort 1.2 2004

on the last m.o.t  advisary it had a leaking downpipe and noticed the clutch was going, then the front wishbones were naffed,

couple of days later the engine management light came on ,worried there was a big problem phoned the garage and they said theyll run some fuel cleaner etc through it as may of un-lodged some dirt etc and see how it drives for a week or so.

now ok after about 6 days it went off eventually only to come back on again a few days later?the car starts and drives ok,bit under powered at lower gears and vibrations but that maybe the the wishbone bushes as the now polyutherane lol

anyhow popped it back to the garage to have it scanned on the machine and found faults with the egr system and lambda sensor(bank 2) which was removed and re-fitted,it ran a cycle through where i heard the egr opening and closing etc and he reset the engine management light, fine for a few days then up it popped again grrr, couldnt get me in for a few days but said its ok to drive which it did seem ok for then the light to go off, lastly done roughly 100 miles yersterday and the damn engine light has come back again

codes were-

17811-EGR system

P1403-35-00-Regulation deviation

16524-Oxygen(lambda) sensor B1 S2

P01140-35-10 no activity-Intermittent

Readiness 0010 0001

Car was fine before these problem m.o.t advisarys were fixed(sorry for the long post)

cheers

Got a photo? Never heard of that happening before, whereabouts did it split?

Glad it's going well again.
