Do Yetis know your thoughts

Featured Replies

I’ve been thinking about other cars of late (changing the Yeti) and after covering nearly 300 miles yesterday in perfect comfort with the pull of a great engine and over 50 mpg it appeared to be running even better than ever is it trying to tell me something,I know it’s a great car that’s why I got it in the first place or is it just the thought changing from a great little car?

I think mine worked the other way around.  Having decided to change the car for the Subaru XV, due soon, I got a scratch on the front bumper that needed to be sorted, a second  windscreen cracked and then the service required came up.  So it's cost me time and money, fingers crossed that's the end of it?

Im afraid it was parked right next to the demo car!

Firstly, nothing wrong with the Yeti, apart from the drastic depreciated caused by the VW issues and the UK Government rumours.

Looked at the Karoq and talked to the dealer who frankly told me I’d be waiting for over 40weeks for the car I’d probably spec and at the time there might well be a 4X4 petrol available, which I’d prefer, and the wait would be extended for that.  So I looked at a whole bunch of other makes and the cost build up when you added what I consider essentials we’re getting very high.  I’d previously owed Subaru Forresters and looked at the XV.  The new XV 2018 build is on the Global Chassis and comes with all the kit we wanted, permanent 4X4, auto, good sat nav, and loads of kit all built in to the basic price, OTR £28.5k.  It’s longer that I’d have liked but driving it was a pleasure even on the 18” wheels, good all round vision and very comfortable. I was, as many might be, concerned about the CVT style gear box but this version called a lineartronic, similar to the Audi multitronic before VW decided all cars in the group would use the DSG, was a pleasure to drive smooth and responsive with none of the screaming engine people talk about unless the engine is floored.  The boot was not as big as I’d have thought but has good assess and flexible rear seats.  They seem to be selling well in the UK even if the overall numbers are still small.  Garage was very friendly and did a good deal on our car, discounts etc., so it was a no brainier in the end.

Enjoy ,Nice to hear looks a great car ,I once had a Impreza and almost changed to the forester, but I totally agree with you opinions on the issues and rumours.

This is basically the new Impreza on stilts, so 221cm ground clearance.  My so had a WRX, now that went very well.
