Diesel Fuel Filter

Featured Replies

Hi,

Does anyone know how to get at the drain plug on the fuel filter, seems pretty well hidden by the holder.

Also when you replace the filter, do you have to prime it in some way or will the car sort itself out?

Any advise appreciated.

Andy

it will be a good idea to get a couple of litres of diesel from the garage in a can and when you;ve fitted the new filter use a small funnel to tip some diesel into the filter , you wont need much and use some rags to soak up spillage .this method should stop the problem of turning the engine over for ages until it fires up , i.e. sucking diesel up from the tank to fill the filter .:)
