A Question on DRLs…

 

I am about to purchase a 2013 Fabia Elegance; for sake of detail its a Sept 2013 registration.

 

I wanted to know… re DRLs, can it be done "electronically", whereby when the DRLs come on [i.e. with the vehicle ignition], that the rear tail lamps and the rear numberplate light also come on simultaneously? and if that is possible "electronically", then could it be extended so that all internal dashboard lighting could come on as well [a–la "proper" Volvo-style DRLs]?

 

By electronically I mean by way of using software and a laptop [as opposed to going to an auto electrician and using wires and diodes] to achieve what I would like to do.

 

A polite and courteous and to the point answer is what I am soliciting here. Points of dissuasion and negativity and pessimism do not fit my requirements at all.

Yes you can code Rear Tail lights and Registration plate lights to be on with the DRL's.

 

To my knowledge you can not have the Dash Lights come on all the time the Ignition is on.

Without being negative i hope having had a Volvo with Dim Dip lights that had the  dash lights on all the time, 

DRL's are for Daytime / Daylight and if you need the dash lit is it not time to turn on the Side Lights & Dipped lights, even in a tunnel.

(Some are not happy with just the dial needles illuminating with DRL's on when it gets dim in the car.)

David Ian Skoda now Vantage Skoda Morecambe LA3 3BN 01524 844666 enabled DRL's, side lights & rear lights

to be lit when the ignition is switched on.  2014 Fabia Monte Carlo 1.6 Tdi Estate.  The conversion was done

through the ECU when my wife purchased the car in 2014.

I imagine getting the franchised dealer to enable full or Volvo–style DRLs would be more expensive than logic would allow me to pay… I wonder if anyone on here would be able to do the same for a more reasonable/fraction of the cost of the franchised dealer?

Can anyone on here, who is in Lancashire, do the abovementioned for me please?

I don't think it scarcastic as nearly 12 month has past without a response.
