Retractable Boot Cover Question Combi

Hi Guys,

 

Could anyone explain the Retractable boot cover on the Superb Combi?

 

This was a option on my week old Superb Combi 3U7. 

 

I thought the retractable boot cover was electrically operated? Min retracts when tapped but doesnt move back and forth as boot opens and closes. I thought that this was what was termed sliding boot cover.

It is not electrical.

 

You can set it to open half way when the boot is opened (in the infotaiment) and tap on it again to fully open it, but you have to close it manually.

There is a setting in the infotainment to have it auto retract (a bit) when the boot is opened.  It doesn't close automatically.

A nice feature which I have on all the time.

I didnt pay for this feature... however, the roller cover is that crap, that when i come to open the boot its already unlatched its self to the mid point position.    (im on my second roller cover also)
