Dynamic cornering lights

Featured Replies

Hi the manual says the following on this subject. Dynamic cornering lights
The cone of light in front of the vehicle is adjusted to the steering angle so
that the road in the curve is illuminated. This function is active at speeds
greater than 10 km/h and in all system modes.
travel mode
If the travel mode is activated, there is no automatic cone of light adaptation
in front of the vehicle.
The travel mode can be activated/deactivated in the Infotainment » Owner´s
Manual Infotainment, chapter CAR - vehicle settings.

My question is do all vRS's have this? I do not seem to be able to de activate the travel mode mentioned above, I can only change it from driving on the left to driving on the right. So it would seem it is not activated on my vehicle.

Your lights must be in AUTO mode rather than manually switched on for the dynamic mode to work?

I think by travel mode they mean if the lighting pattern has been adjusted for right hand traffic (i.e. non UK). All VRS do have this and it will do it automatically if you have Nav and leave the UK.

The various AFS modes such as urban, rain, motorway etc. Are also disabled too.

What I thought but above states " This function is active at speeds
greater than 10 km/h and in all system modes. "

My travel mode is always set to Left hand drive, but there is no way to deactivate it and it states that "If the travel mode is activated there is no automatic cone of light adaptation" this is whay I think that it is not possible for dynamic lights to work on mine.

If you live in Stafford UK then that's not correct, it should be set to RHD.

Sorry for confusion it is set for "left hand traffic" not left hand drive.

I had to edit my previous post to avoid the same confusion! Meant traffic, originally said drive. Opposite meanings!

Doesn't it mean that the lights turn in all lighting system modes (i.e. the various different lighting modes that the car automatically chooses such as city, motorway, rain etc which are dependent on speed and conditions).

However, none of the modes work UNLESS your light switch is in the AUTO position. Try it and see if that fixes your issue?

I'm assuming you have XENON lights because you don't get anything with Halogen and I believe the new LED lights have a slightly different system which is less obvious....

I see what you mean. It is a bit of a confusing statement. I have xenon yes and usually have my light in auto, but the only movement I see is callibration on start up and I cant change the travel mode in infotainment from left hand traffic or right hand traffic. It doesnt switch off.
