It works fine for me John.

Added a new page this morning and all was well.

Thanks

C'mon guy's read the whole of the thread

http://www.fabia-vrs.com/vw_ipod_interface_kit.htm

I've looked at that but it's not really clear what's inside the "Black Box" is it? :thumbdwn: I really want to know what I am getting for my ~

If you knew what was inside the black box they wouldn't be able to charge £100 for it.

The full kit including cradle is £150 in Halfrauds - go and have a look at one of theirs.

All you need to know about electronics is the fact that the cases / boxes just contain black smoke, and this is what makes them work.

It stands to reason, if you let the black smoke out, they don't work anymore.:)

I can programme PIC's but unfortunately my programmer doesn't support the I/C's that they specify.

Wow Stu!!

Didn't know you had that talent as well!

Forgive my ignorance, but wouldn't there be some substitute I/C that would hold the same software and have the same number of pins? Even if the memory capacity is loads bigger, surely that's not a problem? I think that the chips are pretty cheap, right?

Also, don't some chips not need a programmer?

(AFAIK I think there's a schematic for a dedicated programmer on the same site....)

(interesting stuff comes up on briskoda...)

Maybe a Group Buy on Briskoda would be in order? Who wants an iPod cable - without CD changer/with CD changer for about GBP 50?? (Don't PM me, it's only a suggestion!!)

Cheers

Baz

The one with the Mini ISO connector is the one you want.
