Just curious as to what brake pads people are running with the big brake conversion.

 

Thinking of replacing mine but undecided on what to go for.

 

Oh and don't do track days so just normal road conditions.

I have 312/256 brakes and the first few years had cheap discs and pads, when the front discs were worn out I replaced them with good quality discs and these pads:

 

Brembo HP2000

 

I am finding them much better with excellent initial bite and consistent performance, don't think I would ever go back to budget brakes pads.

 

p.s. road use only no track use for me.

Ferodo DS2500

 

That is all.

Literally in the middle of converting my fronts and I have brembo discs and pads, I would never scrimp on  brakes or tyres. Euro car parts have 35% off at the moment so I got front discs and pads for £120.

Brembos are what I use, Pagids are ok too, Ferodo DS are excellent but very expensive and they're hard on the discs, overkill for road use but worth it for the odd trackday.

I run DS3000 currently but for normal road use the standard pads are plenty fine imo

Standard brembo pads are good. 

 

And f the ferodo ds range are very good. Even the Ds1.1 are good for the road. Squeel like anything though.

 

Avoid any ebc pad.
