Featured Replies

mine is in getting its broken suspension fixed and ive got a 500 mile old 1.2HT red P fabia demonstrator.

Its great it sounds awesome accelrates and revs like theres no tomorrow.

its an ambient it definately feel like alot of car for 7k

doesnt have heated seats tho and i got used to them lol

Everyone seems to love that little engine:thumbup: Most people reckon it will embarass the 1.4 8v it replaced too despite the fact it's got a bit of the engine missing:rofl: I Was told (And I Dont know if it's true) That it was designed for the Fabia. I Was reccomended one but technically it is slower than what I Allready have, but only on paper it seems

It's "nippy" and the 3 cylinder engine sounds nice for a small engine. Handling wise it seemed very capable when I had one for the day, not sure if this is a placebo affect because your actually travelling a lot slower.

I also managed in excess of !00 mph on a private road, something I was very impressed with considering it had sub 1,000 miles on the clock and a full tank of petrol & 1 passenger.

I am getting a curtosy car this friday when mine goes in for it's 30k service so it could be another 1.2 HTP. Either way i'm looking forward to trying whichever car Skoda give me.

IIRC there are 3 varients of the 1.2 HTP.

64, 70, 75 bhp? or is this the 1.4 PD TDi?

No Just a 54BHP 1.26v or a 64BHP 1.212v HTP, 70/75 is the 1.4 TDI. 64BHP is only 4BHP off the Old 1.4, Quite and acheivement:thumbup:

nearly as impressive as the new VAG 1.4 twin turbo with 150PS :D

I too have had one of these cars on loan. I went to London 4 up from Sheffield, and flat out it was doing about 108 i think, but returned 40+ mpg - it would not use petrol, no matter how hard i tried. Where as my old vRS could manage 15mpg flat out :(

170 isn't it ?

My son's 1.2 8v seems to go like a rocket, yet when I have had Polo 1.2 curtosy cars they don't seem as fast - I wonder why?

Heavier? any weight in an engine with that little power is really going to take it's toll.

The Fabia is a bigger car than the Polo, so don't suppose the Polo is any heavier.
