2015 Octavia Scout Haldex clutch pump

Featured Replies

Can anyone tell me where the clutch pump & filter are located on the clutch housing (2015 Octavia Scout) & is the pump likely to be Gen 4 or 5?? I've had it up on a trolley jack, but can't spot either parts.... (I've lost 4 wheel drive & have the dreaded fault code!!)

You posted this in the Mk II forum but you write 2015 so I guess it´s the latter - this car has a Haldex 5 system. You should try the dealer, I believe its a factory fault as a lot of these pumps fail, mine included (2016 Scout with only 6500miles on it). Got it changed at no charge ofc.

Many thanks, apparently some are gen5 & others gen4, nearest dealer is over 60 miles away & I don't trust any of them!!!

Octavia III uses only fifth generation Haldex - that is when the official the new MQB platform was in use.

Sorry to hear about the dealers, if you dont trust your official Skoda dealer than wow... What have they done?!

Some very useful info here

Yours is the gen 5 Haldex, which has a non removable filter on the Haldex pump inlet. This blocks and the pump fails. VAG seem unaware of filters on the Gen 4 and 5.

Are you the guy who wrote in to Honest John re Haldex failure on a 2015 Scout.?

hope you get it sorted BTW
