Help with data sim using external module.

Featured Replies

Hi,

I'm trying to set up the sim card using the module in the glove box.

Some members have had similar but not identical problems.

I followed the manual-business phone was already selected-then network"EE"-then "automatic". Looking at the connection setting the data was being used.

This sim needs to be activated on the EE website but I don't know how to do that as I don't have a connection.

It'a standard sim and I haven't a device to use it. Other people somehow have managed to get on the internet and activate but I don't know what I'm looking for.

The globe stays red and no other menu items seem to be affected.

Needless to say Skoda connect is no longer working and on my PC I'm getting error 500!

Help please in plain English as I'm over the hill.

Mike

I’m afraid I think that is an EE thing rather than a Skoda problem. Is there anything else you can put the Sim in to get it registered then return it to the car? Failing that you might be best to go into an EE shop.

I'll ask a friend- thanks.

Success!

Activated the sim in old phone and it works. Just in case anyone else buys an EE sim from eBay.
