Eurocarparts Giving the Wrong (cheaper) Item

Featured Replies

This is the second time it's happened out of the 2 times I've used my local branch. I order something online using one of their perpetual discount codes to collect and when I get there they give a cheaper alternative. The first time were spark plugs, and today some oil. The oil they gave was the same brand but the full price of the one they have was cheaper than the discounted price of the one I ordered. It even had the wrong part number stuck to the bottle and the guy still said it was the right one. After a little bit of debate he went and got the right one. Maybe it's coincidence but the cynic in me wondered if this was a conscious mistake.

Rant over.

Anyone else experienced this behaviour?

I went to get a new car battery only to be told at the counter that the price I had was an 'online offer only'.  With two people waiting behind me, I got my phone out and asked them if they really wanted me to stand there and order it online.  Not the same as you, but a distinct lack of common sense.
