New Superb Estate £118,688!

Featured Replies

All that money and you get standard halogens. Fail.

The new low key drug cartel lieutenant company car :D

Though i presume they will be background checked and verified factory only orders..

Brakes and suspenders.... oops, suspension unrated but engine the same... Sounds like its either a very fast car to start with or a very slow upgrade, depending on how much toughened sh-tuff is added! I believe proper so-called bullet proof glass windows are usually very heavy and non opening. Sun roof most likely out of the question so the a/c is gonna have a hard life, along with the power steering pump, alternator, etc. I would think they must all have had an upgrade.

I was thinking the exact same thing.  I'd expect full LEDs for that money!  If you're going to armour a car for this kind of use, a Superb is the one to do it to

Likely to be used for low-key protection duties - for example Royal Protection Officers, and £118k is cheap compared to the price of the LR Disco's and Range Rovers and Jags they currently use (theyre around £250k each I believe).

A very Niche market, and not one for the Rappers who like bling :)

Id hate to see the fuel bill on too.. its surely up at least a Tonne on the standard one.

Likely had a remap on the block to push it over 220 from the standard 190. Need to with all that extra sh-tuff to move around, idealy quickly... given if your in a car that some one is shooting at or tried to blow up you want a bit of go when you put your foot down...

Thanks for that and apologies to YellowAges - I didn't spot your thread that superseded mine by one hour!

No worries - they do say that "great minds think alike"!   ;)

I wonder how many council officials will insist on one? Maybe the BIK rate will put some of them off.

Should be a 280!

The 190 is no slouch in normal form, but I'm guessing it would need a pedal-box or re-map just to get it moving in the first place under all that extra weight. The throttle lag is significant - you'd be flooring it just to get away from the lights in that one. "Nothing... Nothing... Nothing... FAAAR too much!!!":)

At least they got rid of our allegedly "corrupt" Mayor in Tower Hamlets... He used to run a Chrysler 300 even though he said he was gonna get shot of it. That, most likely, would cost even more as the used value against a new car, which will then plummet like a stone again...  TBH, it would't surprise me if a pal of his is now driving it, at a much reduced cost! (He is also the **** who installed all the 20MPH speed limits, despite myself giving up trying to follow his chauffeur driven chrysler upon reaching around 37 MPH and still being left floundering)!

Super(b) bland.

I guess that's the idea if it's to be used to cart oligarcs' children or minor "celebrities" around.

On the other hand, it might be Superbtte's latest upgrade :).
