Peter's MK1 Fabia

Hi guys! New to the forum, and I guess new to Skoda! Always been around VAG since I started driving, with my parents always owning them too. Was looking for a new car from my 2010 1.6 TDI Leon, as I wanted something with a little more power and this appeared.

2006 VRS TDI 130 with 89K, full service history (and I mean there is folders of it)! This thing is as tight as a drum, and was very well cared for. Not sure if I want to mod it too much as it is absolutely mint! Picking it up on Friday, so can't wait!

The car registration is original from Armagh ,Eire. I checked .gov and doesn't have any UK history, so probably want a new UK mot. Also no mileage history.

Hi Ken,

Yeah because the NI system is such a mess, you'll not find any history online. Don't know why the can't link it all up.

never owned one but my friend did always loved the unsuspecting look of  Mk1 especially black and it also has the green brakes housings as standard!

Always loved the MK1s and the green brake calipers really break up the wheels!

Cheers King! Literally just round the corner from me too.. living in Dunmurry here! Aye, I've got seat covers ordered, unsure if and what else I'm going to do to it.

Subtle wee mods you can do to these like pd160 intake, filter, 312 brake conversion, all subtle and keeps the look standard.

Davy

Thanks Davy! Was planning on a filter, and possibly an exhaust at the very least while being able to revert to stock if ever selling.

Stock paper filter and airbox is good for well over 200bhp, so waste of money changing it unless you just want it to be noisy and reduce performance (cone filter) or let more particles through into the engine (K&N replacement panel).

Most popular first mods are usually rear anti roll bar, 312 brakes and remap, none of these would be very obvious and easily reversed if you wanted to.

I would do the RARB as it gets rid of the under steer that VRS suffer from when standard.

RARB is one of the things at the top of my list for sure! She needs a passenger side CV boot so that’s priority.

Possibly cherished reg and tints soon too!

Not many updates to report as of yet - MOT has been booked and once she gets through that, we’ll look into mods. Gave her a little wash on Saturday to clean her up a little. Scrubs up well for a 12 year old car!
