Alpine Apple Car Play head unit

Featured Replies

Pointless unless your entire family has iOS devices - it only supports CarPlay, not Android Auto.  No good for our household as I have an iPhone and my wife a Galaxy S7 Edge

I agree. My wife is a huge iPhone fan and hates carplay since it forces the use of Apple maps, which are total crap.

In her car, we always use android auto when on a road trip. It seems a trifle to have added android auto as well and address the larger market.

I am looking for something like this head unit which is working with the park sensors and climate controls, and steering wheel controls and is not a cheap chinese android based head unit.

Isn't it strange that with the number of rns510 / Columbus units in existence that there is not a perfect and easy to replace unit with full oem functionality.

Then she'll be pleased to know that the new iOS 'unlocks' Carplay so you can use 3rd party maps. :)
