Tyre size?

Featured Replies

Hi, decided to buy 8Jx19" 5x112 ET48 wheels, what tyre size should i buy? Will 225/35 r19 be fine?

235's are cheaper generally & the circumference difference isn't worth worrying about

If you swap out the manufacturers fitted tyres from the recommended specs, have a blowout, crash into an infant school and kill eight brats then you'll be charged with manslaughter.

If you're driving the exact same car with manufacturer fitted tyres, you won't even be charged.

Your choice.

235s are nominally 10mm wider than 225s.

thanks mate

I run 235-35 on my 18’s and they are spot on

If you are fitting non standard tyre sizes then make sure you inform your insurance. It's a modification.

Au contraire (you might need to pump that into a French-English translation service).

Just a piquant (you might also need to pump that into a French-English translation service) observation on the UK political landscape in 2018.

Do "au contraire" and "piquant" at the same time.......you'll save yourself a few minutes.

Also the 235 will be 7mm bigger in diameter.

Yeah, the Speedo read a whole mph low on the motorway

Jokers the lotta ya, in the real world it's a nothing

.. I would check the local regulations about what's allowed and what not and what your insurance company or roadworthiness test would have to say before going much further.
