VAG Part Number Modification Letters...

Featured Replies

Hello everyone!

I bought an engine mount and the Part for a Skoda Octavia Mk2 VRS CR170 is meant to be 1k0199555T, confirmed by reading the engine mount on the car and according to the dealer.

I have a invoice which says: 1k0199555T. A box which says 1k0199555T but an engine mount which has the modification letters AT stamped on it, making the part number 1k0199555AT.

The guy assured me this was the correct part, mostly do to the fact he couldn't find the part I actually have 1k0199555AT, on their system (confidence inspiring).

Does anyone know how VAG manage these modification letters?  I know if one was T and another Q the parts are wildly different but does AT mean perhaps, a revision of T; they didn't know but I know someone on here will.

The measurements all look the same but the part looks slightly different.

Any thoughts would be helpful :)

Many thanks, Simon

According to this page, suffix AT was replaced by the suffix T part in 2008 on VW, Audi and Seat cars, no mention of it ever having been on Skodas.

Bit odd.

That OEMwolf site is handy for looking up what has superseded what though.
