Octavia Scout 2010 fl what bulb

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

Im looking to replace my front fog light bulbs for the canbus LED bulbs so as the colour and style match my headlights after fitting after market dipped beam HID kit... the bulbs fitted to my front foggys are H4B yet my local motor factor says there H8, does anyone

no if the H8 bulb fits as it should to front fog lights on my 2010 scout.

Completely daft question I no but after trawling various sites looking at both types of bulbs my single brain cell is completely blown out.  Thanks in advance

Any one ??

The manual says HB4 for the vRS and Scout front fogs. Other models should be H8.

Yes it is HB4 bulb for the Scout which is a 55w bulb.  The H8 is a 35w bulb.

I made this mistake when I bought replacements for my Oct 2 Scout as the site I bought from also said H8 but they didn't fit (even though they look similar).

Thanks ScoutCJB, did you upgrade to LED?

No I stayed with halogen and fitted Oxfam Night Breakers which were noticeably better than standard.  I have thought about LED but hear to many bad reports.   I think the more you pay the better it gets and looming on line it can get quite expensive!

Hi guys, sorry for the late reply, I opted for the H4B (9006) LED option and I must say they are quite good.. only thing I noticed was that the seal ring part of the body isn’t quite as wide as the original  BUT it does seal and hasn’t let any water in or steamed up.

You can tell the difference on this pic, the driver side is original bulb and passenger is the new LED version. You have to look at the floor for the “beam line” as I didn’t think and

left foglights pointing down for the photo.

Nice looking Scout.

Do the ex-Paramedic LED marker lights on the front wings still work? What did they do with the power outlet on the rear boot window, is this still operational?
