It would probably work with USB but the safest would be using AUX cable. It is basically a headphone cable with 3,5mm plugs on the both ends.

When I search around in my old head, then I have even seen an option in media input selection to use USB as a source. Your iPod has USB wire so it would be the fastest and most cost effective thing to try.

On the other hand, it should also work via bluetooth too but can't help you out with troubleshooting here. To see some positive in this situation then Skoda Bluetooth music quality is significantly lower than AUX or USB quality.

Thanks alf.onso for your reply.

So a simple AUX cable with 3.5 mm plugs at both ends should do it. Do you know what setting i select in media centre to use the iPod?

Yes an AUX cable with a stereo 3.5 mm jack plug at each end.  There should be a "SOURCE" setting in the media centre that will allow you to select the "AUX" input as the music source.

An iPod should also work with a USB cable. This has the advantage that the iPod will be charged whilst it is plugged in. For that you'd need a cable with a standard USB connection at one end and then whatever charging connector type you have on your iPod at the other end. Or you could just try the white charger cable that comes with the iPod itself.

In media center you must pick the AUX as an input source. I will make you a photo afterwards.

There is a slight chance that if you have aux cable attached, then Skoda will recognize it as a input source by himself but I have never tried it so can't say.

USB lead gives more control of the iPod from the head unit, Aux gives no control and will only play what the iPod is set to play.

I have my daughters old one connected by USB.

A USB iPod should connect and play over USB but I believe you are limited to one media source over bluetooth so if your phone is already set as this it may be limiting the iPod connection.

Thanks all for your comments, I will be purchasing an aux and a USB cable to see which one gives me the best solution.
