When I use my rear washer jets, no screenwash comes out, and I can hear a sinister trickling sound from the boot. Front washer jets seem fine though.

The screenwash I'm using is Winter solution, so it *shouldn't* have frozen and split the pipe or anything, but I am a bit worried. Any suggestions before I phone the dealer?

I'm sure John S mentioned this. IIRC , you need to check that the joint coupling the pipework has not had the pipes forced off in freezing weather. Its located near the autochanger if fitted under the side panel carpet in the left hand rear.

Sounds like the the hose mightht've just slipped off (fairly common I

believe - well, it happened to me )

This is fixed by taking off the plastic boot trim and slipping the hose back

onto the thingy - the plastic trim is attached by lots of little clips round

the edge though, so you might find it would be easier with someone to

help. I don't have any friends, so I just took it back to the dealer and

was there about 5 mins while they did it...

On closer inspection, I have found that the fluid is being lost inside the tailgate. I lifted the boot and pressed the washer jet, and it came p*ssing out of the plastic trim on the tailgate itself. A trip to the dealer methinks...

That's what was happening with mine - luckily it's a quick fix!

I'm feeling kind of lucky I didn't get the 1.8T - if a coil pack had gone

as well as everything else... :roll:

Gotta defend the yellow! If I had gone for an RS it would have been as loud and obvious as possible, ie yellow! 8)

(but that would be my hot hatch roots showing through!)

Must admit i like the yellow vRS, if not for the Black, Red or Silver ones i would have got one.

All joking aside............I probably would not have posted this.
