Skoda Connect Subscription

Featured Replies

Just had an email from Skoda asking me to renew my skoda connect subscription.  My understanding was it was free for the first 3 year, is that correct or is it only a years free subscription.

Thanks guys

I think it might be 3yrs for Kodiak or Karoq but only 1yr for Superb, dealer might have misled me, I always thought it was 3 yrs.

Not worth it at asking price IMO

My understanding is the safety systems or the cars ability to call emergency services in a crash etc lasts for a number of years.

The 'nice to have' features such as news, weather, petrol prices, car park prices, ability to see where car is parked etc is only 12 months and needs to be paid for once expired.

Could be wrong though

Mine is 3 months away from running out, what is the renewal cost?

Not sure.

I think you can go on the connect portal and request a renewal price when you're nearing the end of your current subscription

  • 1 month later...

£63 for infotainment package and £53 for Care package, annually. Took Skoda 9 months to get Connect working properly in my car so by the time they did they wanted more money.

Nothing in the Infotainment package I would pay that price for, or that I couldn't get from Android Auto like Waze or Google maps traffic far more upto date.

The vehicle tracking, online alarm alert, parking etc. Would be good for piece of mind but was told by Skoda it is not insurance approved. Probably because you can get in the car and switch on privacy mode and disable everything.

They're not going to get much business at that price.

Mine hasn’t worked for 30 days now! Was tempremtal at the best of times but now just doesnt work at all!

On a similar note.

In my car there is a button on the infotainment that says TRAFFIC and is quite useful.

Will that functionality expire eventually ?

No. I don't have Skoda Connect (2017 car) but the traffic button works fine. I believe it picks up its information from radio broadcasts.
