Chassis code doesn’t ring true

Featured Replies

So car is hip clear etc etc etc but reading up on things my chassis code should be 6Y2 2005 fabia vrs. But strangely my chassis code is 6Y5. Which from wat I can work out makes it an estate. Which it definitely ain’t. Anyone shed any light. Would be greatly appreciated

Does the reg. number come up as a Hatch or Estate if you chuck it in DVLA online checker?

If estate then it's a ringer for sure.

Already done all that mate all comes up as should 5 door hatchback etc etc. And I’m an mot tester and all shows correct on vosa’s system so all a bit weird.

My 2.0 Octavia 4x4 estate keeps coming up as a 1.6 on many databases, particularly insurance company ones which is a bit worrying.......but all the others and really important ones agree its 2.0, and it goes like a 2.0.
