I'm a returning Skoda owner from Skipton, North Yorkshire saying hello.

 

I collected my 18 plate low mileage Superb 150 Diesel 4x4 SE L Exec estate this afternoon. Petrol Blue with black leather.

Big change from the Maxda MX5 that I traded in!

My last Skoda was an Octavia 4x4 estate which I sold 11 years ago, so it's a long overdue return.

 

I had a very pleasant run from Skipton up to Telfords in Carlisle to swap over. I bought the Superb unseen on the strength of a video report they emailed me.

 

Initial impression is that the Superb lives up to its name. It was a joy to drive down the M6 and along the A roads back home.

 

After an hour on the drive, I think I have mastered the Columbus unit. I decided to go with a separate onboard data only SIM for the wifi hotspot and data requirements, although I will use Android Auto for Waze/Spotify.

 

The adaptive cruise control was a 1st for me and I have to say, I like it.

 

Looking forward to driving it some more and getting to grips with all the technology.
