190PS Delivery - cant get straight answer

Featured Replies

Hi

Has anybody recently signed for a 190PS diesel Kodiaq please and been given a firm delivery date?

I have visited 2 local dealers and also had somewhat dubious correspondence via Carwow from 5 more and Im not exactly sure what the score is.

What is certain is that there a whole lot of stock cars they are trying to shift and not all of them are being honest with this.

Presumably the new WLTP emissions rating is the reason as the common factor is I must take delivery before the end of August.

Whilst there are some decent discounts Im not in a position to take delivery until later in the autumn and just cant get a straight answer although have heard plenty of people online complaining about VAG either just not quoting on some engines for factory orders or else saying it will be 2019.

Im fairly sure as soon as you order a new car you get an idea of build slot and subsequent delivery but they wont tell me.

Anyone? Thanks in advance

Jim

Welcome.

If you want one after September 1st it will need to be one built now & First Registered in August or who knows when you will get a 68 plate one.

They can not tell you if they do not know and Skoda UK can not tell dealers when they can get cars for customers.

Bound to be WLTP related.

I'm sure if you buy the car and allow them to register it in your name before the end of August they'll happily store it in their compound for you, until such a time you're able to take delivery.

I ordered mine 16 June, Dealer told me yesterday it will be built in week 32, so he said to expect delivery in First half of September, which by then will be 3 months from ordering to delivery! If all goes well...

Ordered May 11th, sat at the dealers for collection Tuesday 31st. 190 4x4 DSG Edition 5 seat with specific options. The dealer gave me no warning, said it was a surprise to them when it arrived.

I ordered a 190 4x4 sportline last week. I was told approximately 17 weeks for delivery, which puts it about the middle of November.

I was looking at factory ordering a 190 SEL before my dealer found me the perfect stock car,  and was also told it would be about 17 weeks so mid November.

37 week delivery for a 1.4/1.5 petrol according to one dealer...

I ordered a 180 tsi in April (17th)  info coming from Skoda uk has been  thin to say the least.

I had April call on Monday  from the dealerto say I should have April build date by the end of the week! (Given I was told I'd be getting it on the 17th of last month. ...) build date was told previously as the end of October and I should have it in January  :D.

Hi Jim,

Have a read of my posts re my 190 ps let downs. It's re the Superb but same engine. Briefly, I'd ordered the 190ps only to be told 2 months! later, that that engine was no longer a choice and I'd (me not the dealer!) need to order all over again (a 150ps!) AND, lose my scrappage allowance due to the time lag, which was none of my making.

All in all, utterly CR4P treatment by VAG and the hapless dealer who turned out to be less effective than a hairnet in a rainstorm

in the end I found a great dealer in Chesterfield who sold me a pre reg 190 ps with 11 miles done, all for less than before even with scrappage.

So don't stand around waiting, because nothing will happen, not if VAG are involved anyway.

I have been waiting since 15 th nov 2017 nine months now , with currently a maybe for September , latest was problem with emissions on the petrol engines ??!! I have ordered a petrol, with full options .Skoda very slow to actually come out and state the real problem, and never seen it in print from them. Currently looking at other options
