Fabia rear door handle - Removal ?

Featured Replies

I have a Fabia and the rear door wont open from out side, stripped the door down and the cable from the locking mechanisam has become detached from the exterior door handle. Can't work out how to remove this handle. Any one help? An idiots proof guide would be grate.

welcome to briskoda, nice to meet you too ;)

Open the door up.

Along the edge of the door close to the handle there is a rubber bung. Inside here is a T20 Torx screw. Loosen it gently until it stops, dont force it. The key blank next to the handle will now pull out. You should then be able to hook the cable through and re attach to the handle.

If the cable comes off the handle end then there is no need to strip the door.

Did remove the rubber bung, shone a torch, couldn't see any torx, but I'll try again tomorow.

Cheers
