I can not wait for autonomous vehicles.

Maybe there will be less plonkers behind the wheel with all the gear and not paying attention enough to what is around them, as in vehicles, not the scenery.

In your experience. Mine is different. No, it won’t sense the lorry indicating - that would require something more than just radar. However, it detects things as they pull out in my experience. And it also detects when they have pulled back in. It just doesn’t like it if they turn off down a side-road, but that’s me using it outside of the parameters it was designed for on the Kodiaq (dual carriageways and motorways).

 

And all the other things you describe are not anything I have experienced when using ACC... which leads me to ask if you’ve used a modern system such as the one in my Kodiaq, or if your experience is with an older or perhaps inferior system?

Could well have been. It was in a 2017 (67) VW Golf GTD.
