Skoda rapid 1.3

Featured Replies

Hello everyone I'm new to this site . I have a 1989 skoda rapid 1.3 engine in my trike and have an oil leak in my gearbox I presume from the seal behind the thrust bearing after I changed the clutch plate last year . I have shudder especially in reverse . I also have a small leak from the bell housing so I'm presuming it must be coming from there as it's the only seal in there . Does anyone know where I could source anew seal for it ? Thanks in advance .

@Fluffypants - You'd be better to ask in the RWD Skodas forum. What I'm reasonably sure of is that, if you're correct about the input shaft oil seal leaking, your judder is caused by an oil contaminated friction plate.

Ok thanks Ken

if you can't find out   remove the seal and take it in to a bearing specialist  they will match it --probl'y for a fraction of the stealers price

I think I will go for this option in the winter when I can take it off the road.
