VRS vs Elegance

No CC on mine, May 2014. Didn't CC as standard come in alongside the MIB2 update?

May 14 reg or build? My car is listed as MY14 and is an early 2014 build, registered in August and it’s not listed as an option on the original spec list. Mine has the flat bottom wheel which is when cruise was made standard AFAIK.

May 14 reg, no flat bottom, it really is 'poverty spec'! The other half just got a '17 Leon 1.4, so many cool features compared to mine, colour changing door card lights! don't know why it's needed but i'm jealous

...maybe because it stamps a smile on your face whenever you realise that the thin colored line on your doors is the same background color of your maxidot and bolero :) ??

(of course, blue is the preferred choice, for me)

...bynow I also tried making an idea on red (ended up a bit too aggressive for my tastes), green (too standard), while the blue of the paintwork and orange should match well.... worth a try :)

About VRS-vs-Elegance, I distinctly remember that understeer on my previous 4x4 Elegance which is almost gone on the VRS: I just push into the corner and she turns beautifully, almost pivoting and putting another smile on my face

I was surprised too at the spec of the vRS versus Elegance, especially considering that (back in 2014) the vRS was something like £2K more. I did a balance of the vRS good parts, the suspension and extra 30BHP over a 2.0TDi elegance, but the lack of standard Satnav, folding mirrors etc made me turn it down. I also hated the ride.

It's horses for courses I guess, If I lived somewhere where the handling of the vRS would matter I might have had one, but using a car for 30,000 miles a year in heavy motorway traffic the Elegance made more sense to me.
