Skoda Fabia Reflex Active 2004 Petrol Throttle Body Recalibration

Featured Replies

Hello guys, new member here!

When I turn the engine on it sometimes shows the EPC light on and the engine works irregularly. Other times it works perfectly fine with or without the EPC light.

I recently cleaned the butterfly pipe from grease (unscrewed it from the car and battery to do so) because the Android Torque Pro was complaining about it with two sensors errors (A and B - don't remember the exact codes), which I have since cleared.

I would like to recalibrate it somehow through the OBD2 interface. Is that possible and how can I do that cheaply using my smartphone? I tried removing the battery for 5 minutes many times but i can't hear the butterfly calibrating (?) for more than 3-5 seconds when turning on the engine.

Which engine code does your car have?

(P.5)  in the Registration Certificate starts with BBY.

The car worked quite stably today, is it possible it self-calibrated already?

Yes, I think that is possible.

Did the irregular running start only after you cleaned the throttle body, or did you clean it to attempt to fix the irregular running?

The later one.

Once I got it cleaned, the gas pedal got unresponsive a few times.

Waiting for the dashboard lights, located at its center, to turn off before the ignition seems to have helped eliminate that.

The throttle body died a few weeks ago, so I had it replaced with a new one (036133062L).

Works like new now :)
