hello all .the fabia brake switch has stoped working with the glowplug warning flashing so removed the switch but struggling to match the part number up 3bo945511a has it been up dated

I am breaking a 1.4mpi fabia and can see what the part number is on that one tomorrow.

Current part number is 6Q0 945 511, about £11 from a VAG dealership for genuine part. Barely worth seeking out a cheaper pattern part. This version requires no mucking about with the brake pedal when fitting, just twist and pull out the old one; push into place and twist to lock the other way to fit the new one.

 

You were probably struggling to match the existing part number because the third digit, that you've written as a letter  'o', is actually a zero.

I got one from gsf it was about £10 and plugged in piece of cake only took 5 mins

got it sorted didnt take long to change and all working with no warning light on dash thanks all for the info
