Smell from the vents with AC off

Featured Replies

'Must be changed',   who comes up with this rubbish?   I can see Dealers loving a car coming in 3 times a year for them changing a pollen filter.

Some do 20,000 plus miles a year, and a pollen / cabin filter changed every Variable Service is adequate for them.

Service Plans / Fleet Servicing might allow one service with a Pollen Filter change.

Next time someone picks a Ex Demonstrator / Management car from a VW Group Dealership that has done 7.5 kKm i hope they tell the Sales Executive, The Pollen Filter must be changed by them before you take the car way.   They read it on a forum.

Guidelines, not even schedule in the UK was @ 2 years,   or 2 x 9,400 miles / 29,000 km.

That is from a manufacturer that does not know if you sit in gridlock traffic every day behind busses / vans spewing out soot.

Or drive through the countryside with pollen and chaf in the air, and park up in damp / wet places or near the seaside.

Location, location, location is what matters, and some need to use some common sense, and look for lost in translation.
