Hi Folks,

My 2014 170bhp 2ltr dsg diesel estate has just started to kind of shudder when turning it off after a trip 135k kms on it. Anyone know what this cold be?

I have just gotten it serviced, water pump&belt and drivers side wheel bearing replaced done in a škoda dealership. 

Any help would be great

ASV - Anti Shudder Valve, think this is motor driven on the CR170

Sorry - I don't know. I've only experienced the pd version (vacuum operated) which was easy peasy

You got it John, it should be just like that.

 

It actually forms part of the EGR system unlike the old pneumatic version which was just a simple open or closed valve whereas the newer motor driven has feedback and can be driven to any desired position.

 

If it is kaput, I would expect there to be some sort of warning light or at least some codes stored for it. I would check the garage hasn't unplugged it while doing the servicing

Just hope it's not expensive to fix or cause too much damage until it get in to get it checked out!

Do you know if there is a VCDS fault code that comes up for this.?
