Shelf speakers

Featured Replies

Just realised that the mrs car doesnt have the parcel shelf speakers.

Theres also no wires there but was wondering if it would be easy to wire some in because its very quiet in the back.

Was looking at putting either some 4" or 6"x4" in the back parcel shelf carriers, biggest issue I can see is wiring into the head unit.

Any pointers would be helpful !

Be interesting to know if anybody has done it.

Even just to fit the OEM ones into the rear id be happy

there was a kit available to do it, not sure if its been discontinued

imo its a waste of time unless youve always got rear passengers who want to listen to the radio. they do nothing for the front of the car.

it just requires running a cable down each side of the car from the head unit and into the side compartments if you want to retrofit them. just need to be careful removing plastic trim as clips can break.

Thanks for the reply.

Surely having speakers at the back would provide a better all around sound rather than just getting all tge sound from the front 2 speakers?

Unless you have people in the back you won’t hear them. They are going to be crap anyway in the position they are in. Much better to upgrade front speakers. I’ve disconnected my rear speakers as I run decent front speakers which sound much nicer.
