Very puzzled

Featured Replies

I picked up my Yeti 3 week’s ago, all was fine for the first few days, then the Bluetooth, parking sensors and  auto unlock stopped working. It seems to be related to the ignition key sensor. I dropped it into the dealers last Wednesday for resolution, and so far they’ve not been able to fix the issue. I’m driving round in a brand new Fabia as a loaner, and very nice it is too. But I’d like my Yeti back. Apparently they’ve replaced a number of the modules, but are no closer to fixing it. I couldn’t see what the problem was on my VCDS setup, but I’ve not got the latest v2 rig. It’s all being done under warranty, but my question (finally) is, what happens if they can’t fix it? The car came from a car supermarket, but as it’s still less than 3 years old, I figured it would be best to get Skoda to (try to) fix it. I can reject the car with the car supermarket, and they are happy to deal with that, but I’d like my Yeti back. So what is Skoda’s obligation under warranty?

If I was stuck with having to find the problem, I’d start with a new battery (after a 30 min disconnect) for the vehicle and a new key fob battery as well.........but you’d think the dealership would be able to eliminate that as a solution.

its all being done under warranty and you have a new loan car so enjoy, the more componants they replace the better.

So essentially, don’t worry, be happy......

Nice thought.

Because it is less than 3 years old you can take it to any skoda service partner ( skoda dealer) to be done under skoda waranty as long as its not done over 60,000 miles

It’s with the Skoda main dealer in Norwich, but they’re still struggling.

So after 2 weeks I’ve finally got the Yeti back, the central electric module had to be replaced and steering module had to be recoded. Very weird. Anyway, most pleased to have it back. The master tech did a great job of finding the root cause of the problem.
