Dab Aerial

Featured Replies

Has anybody who has a dab stereo in their Skoda tried using the existing Aerial instead of a dedicated one? I have seen splitters for sale, which separate the existing coax in to two with a mini connection for the Dab, I have just changed my car and was trying to get away from the window sticker type which I had in my last one, and I used to loose the signal occasionally with that one anyway

If the splitter you are talking about is the Blaupunkt one the you need the correct antenna including the cable that runs from the base. All the connectors are different and the input into the splitter is the small DAB type.

I had the combined aerial, which was slightly longer than the standard OEM aerial but looked the same. This was ok for FM/AM and DAB from the same source.

This is what I had on my octy
